Problems of Outsourcing in a Company
Currently, outsourcing or using contract employees becomes a favorite option for some companies. However, the outsourcing issues dominate in employment cases. Outsourcing becomes a natural thing that makes businessmen under the pretext of efficiency of the company. Based on the annual report of the International Labour Organization (ILO) in 2007, there is some discrimination in the workplace situation in various countries related to the status of permanent and temporary workers or outsourced. One form of discrimination is by a mechanism that is on the rise of outsourcing companies in recent years. In addition, there are no rules that protect employees of outsourcing when there is an efficiency of employment. As a result, there are many employees who experience unfair treatment and are severely impaired by the existence of this system.
Indeed, there is a positive side of outsourcing system if it is applied to the company. Employees can learn quickly and enhance their skills during their work at companies that employ them. In addition, employees also need not be bothered to look for work because there is outsourcing company that will do it for them. However, if it is related to the wage system, there are many outsourced employees who receive lower wages than permanent employees. In addition, if termination of employment occurs, usually the employees of outsourcing will have problems in terms of severance.
In this issue it is needed should be understanding between employees of outsourcing by employers to be able to see the problem thoroughly. They should engage in dialogue and explain the condition of the company in a more transparent so that all parties can more clearly find the best solution for the company. When there is no solution the issue of outsourcing, then the labor problems can be minimized so that the business conditions become more conducive for the future.
